ABOUT ME
Hello my name is Rachael. I’ve been teaching Classical and Acoustic Guitar for over 25 years in schools and privately at my home to both adults and children five years old and upwards. My teaching journey began as a 6th former, continuing on throughout my Music Degree (1st study Guitar) at Kingston University when I taught Saturday morning group lessons at Sutton College of Liberal Arts.
After my teaching qualification (PGCE) at Middlesex University I taught class music for three years at a secondary school in Harlow before joining Enfield Arts Support Service teaching in local schools as a peripatetic Guitar Teacher. Since then I have worked for Buckinghamshire Music Service and taught for Hertfordshire Music Service for 17 years. I currently teach Guitar, Ukulele and Pre-Prep Music and Bass lessons for Ascot Music School.
A large number of these students have been learning with me for many years. It has been a joy to watch them develop from beginners up to Grade 8 and beyond!
I offer daytime and early evening face to face and online lessons to both adults and children, on Classical and Acoustic Guitar and also Ukulele. Beginners of any age are very welcome!
Morning lessons for adults available NOW on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.....
"Rachael is a great guitar teacher. She has a friendly, smiling manner, which immediately puts children and parents at ease. She is approachable, reliable and a good communicator. She made lessons fun for my daughter, but was firm and business-like, so that lesson time was used efficiently and to best effect. She took my daughter right through from Grade 3 to Grade 8. I would recommend Rachael to any parent looking for a guitar teacher."
